Vijaynagar Skyline Apartment - I

The cheerful and enthusiastic Volunteers of "One Nation" showed Bangalore that "They Care" by holding a very good blood donation drive. On Sunday, 29th July, 2007 they organized a blood donation drive at the Skyline Apartments in Vijaynagar.

As the name suggests, the Organization is dedicated to breaking down the barriers which cause separation. In blood donation they found a beautiful way to express this feeling. Sankalp Volunteers were amazed at the amount of hard work these young girls put in to publicise the event in the huge apartment complex.

The week long preparation began with getting the publicity material ready. But when it was discovered that the management will never permit putting up posters, they finally had to go for door to door publicity.

Camp started almost on time at 10:00 AM and the Volunteers stuck to their respective jobs. Donor Safety and care was placed very high in importance and as a result 15 donors were deferred from donating blood. Finally , we could get a total of 34 units of blood collected by 2:00 PM.

Victoria Blood Bank collected the blood and this will ensure the prompt supply to the poorer section of the society.
